The InToSteel project is an innovative collaboration between Sapotech and Evertz Europe, designed to further enhance the efficiency of metallurgical processes of continuous casting and steel grinding. This project, running from mid-2024 until the end of 2026, seeks to push the boundaries of 3D measurement technology and to apply AI to exceed current industry standard practices and lead the way for more sustainable and efficient steel production. This initiative brings together expertise from multiple disciplines to create fully integrated solutions for process automation and optimization.
Objectives of the project:

The InToSteel project aims to establish applied demonstrations showcasing advancements in grinding and continuous casting. Beyond this, the project is set to deliver transformative solutions, including next generation DNN algorithms for time-series process defect analysis, new software interfaces for predictive control, and integrated automation systems for grinding operations.
